Linda is a BPS Chartered Psychologist and a registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She completed her professional Doctoral Training in Counselling Psychology at City University London in 2013 including training in Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Post-qualification, Linda has developed her therapy training to incorporate Compassion Focused Therapy and Schema Therapy in adults and a Counselling and Psychotherapy (CPCAB) level 4 Certificate in counselling children.

Linda aims to integrate humanity and compassion in supporting evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as CBT. In the context of a safe, warm and accepting therapeutic relationship, she works together with clients to develop a thorough understanding of their emotional difficulties to help them develop new ways of coping to improve their quality of life.

Linda has trained and worked in primary care in Psychological Therapies in the NHS, across a range of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, phobia, trauma, self- harm, stress and work-related problems, mainly using CBT. She has also worked in a specialist service for PTSD in a national veterans charity and trained and worked in a national children’s charity supporting the emotional health of children with complex needs.

With an interest and training in specific learning difficulties, Linda understands the functional and associated emotional difficulties in dyslexia and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)/dyspraxia. Linda can therefore provide therapy to support dyslexic and dyspraxic adults with emotional well-being.
