Gestalt therapy & counselling
I offer Gestalt psychotherapy on a long or short term basis in a confidential, respectful and supportive setting, usually on an ongoing, weekly basis.
I am currently in advanced clinical training and working towards accreditation as a Gestalt psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
Gestalt therapy is a body-centred, relational and socially-engaged form of therapy, which offers the possibility to live more fully, to discover and follow our own paths, and to integrate different parts of our lives.
Therapy costs £40 for a one hour session. I review my prices annually.
Training and professional memberships
My training has been with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute’s four-year postgraduate programme.
I have been practising therapy since 2016, and am fully insured. I am a member of the following professional bodies:
- UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners (UKAGP),
- UK Council for Psychotherapy (trainee member; Membership No. 2011168259),
- Gestalt Psychotherapy and Training Institute (trainee member).
I work in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Practice of the GPTI (which is an organisational member of the UKCP) and, as part of its professional requirements, am in regular clinical supervision.
My other therapeutic training and experience include:
- Diploma in Relational Mindfulness, with the Karuna Institute (Core Process psychotherapy),
- Certificate in Focusing Skills,
- Listening volunteer with the Samaritans.
I have a degree in modern languages, and a Masters and PhD in economic geography. I have worked in research, education and public policy for over 20 years.
Please get in touch if you have questions about my approach to therapy, or would like to book an initial appointment. In the first session, we can talk about your situation and your hopes for therapy, and see if my approach feels right for you.
Phone or text 07395 435327 (voicemail only) or email email@example.com, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
